Hello there and welcome to a bit of my hunt. This hunt took place in Region 5 "The Caribou Region" in British Columbia, Canada.
I was fortunate enough to harvest this very decent Buck on the 4th Day of the hunt about 25 km from camp.
Much thanks goes out to the guys for helping me with both lodging and transportation on this trip, thanks to Colin, Erick, Jason and Michael for outfitting this hunt.
I was using my Great Uncles 760 Remington 30-06, and it did the job nicely.
I can honestly say that I look forward to the backstraps on this Deer and never know if I should eat them all right away or save some for later in the year LOL.
Happy hunting to you all and hope you all have many great adventures to come.
I sure enjoyed getting this Deer, and it is my biggest Mule Deer to Date. I only wish Marc or Ian were there to share in the moment and hunt up their own beauty big Buck...maybe next year!
Good luck to you all.

  • Nice vid! Thanks from a region 2 /3 first year hunter

  • @canadamarc311 Thank you. Good luck to you this year and in the future. Maybe I can catch you on my next hunt to 2 or 3. I had a Mt. Goat Draw in 3 this year but didn't get to go for it. I have done a few Muley hunts up there and a lil bit of Big Horn Hunting too...you have some awesome country in both 2 and 3.

Thanks again, and great adventures to you.

  • Wow! What an awesome Muley, Kyle! I'll bet you were just tickled to death to get that ol' boy! That sure is some beautiful country you have to hunt, my fellow outdoorsman. I'm with you! I always have a hard time deciding whether I should freeze some of the backstrap or just scarf it all down! YouTube is such a great concept. I may never get the opportunity to visit Canada in the flesh, but I can most definitely visit her via the internet. Happy huntin', Kyle!

  • @OutdoorsmanByDesign Thats great Matt...good of you to say.

I actually would of honestly been happy with one even a lil smaller...but no doubt I was very happy to be fortunate enough to get this big Majestic Muley.

I love it up here...very diverse landscapes up here in British Columbia...you are just hours away from nearly all types of ecosytems.

Hope you do get the chance to visit one day...I know you would both enjoy and respect with awe the magnificence of this part of the world.

    Thanks

  • WOW!!! That was exciting. Looked like some great country for hunting. Definately a buck to be proud of too. I have yet to get my 4 point. Nice video. Thanks for sharing your excitement.

  • @ruaspontanious1 Kule...thats great you liked it. I remember as I grew up cutting thru the bush like it was almost in my way and slowing me down from my destination...ha ha ha...now these days I find myself enjoying the bush more than the destination much of the time.

Hope you get your 4pt...I know you will...this was only my second Muley...I took that 3x3 last year and now this one this...I'm surely liking it!

Thanks and glad to share...good luck

  • Thanks for the upload! Real nice looking muledeer! Good luck 2011 year!!

  • Excellent video. i was so glad the music quit. If it was music like your compilation you would have lost me after another 30 seconds. I enjoyed the commentary. I forget what 5 I hunted back about 30 years or so. Had spot for morning picked with a moose fell in swamp froze so slept in. Awe well I'm a bit late. Legal 2x3 head & feet sitting there together The Others had been. I scored a spot for just my family on private saw 5x5 mule maybe 200 class no tag but this season on bow maybe.

  • Great video- love the narration... Good luck this year..!!

  • Great Video... Keep up the good work..
