Looking for a Siri like app for Android?. We take a look at how helpful Vlingo's Virtual Assistant on Android and Siri on the iPhone 4S are when you can't touch or look at your phone. What we found may surprise some folks - Vlingo offers significantly more handsfree functionality than Siri. Check out the video to see all the details.

Meet Eve, She is charming, witty and always ready to listen.
Believe it or not, but this app was actually rejected by Apple for being 'confusingly similar to Siri'.
No such problems on Android! Try it out for yourself!
Eve is actually intelligent. She will remember what you told her, and get back to it when appropriate.You can speak to Eve using advanced voice recognition and she will respond in a clear voice!

@gmgabster If you go into the InCar settings on Android, you will see an option that says "Customize Main Prompt." You can have it say anything you would like.

@Deathclockcinema Good question. From a developer's perspective, each platform is different and you cannot necessarily build something for an iPhone just because you did it on Android. The SafeReader read back functionality is a great example. Apple actually does not allow us to build that feature for an iPhone - we'd love to! That is something they have kept for themselves.
Generally speaking we do our best to create parity across platforms, but that is not always possible.

Its great being further hands free as I'm in the car alot... But I can't choose my text program of choice (Google Voice) so its useless.

@abowlofsoda We would love to add Google Voice support! Unfortunately, Google does not allow developers to hook into that program. If they change their policy, we'll add support for sure.
