  • I think it would be good to mention that black matts tend to make everything look better. So they are't good for judging a painting if you are looking to make it look the best it can be. I have been told by other artist that many art galleries frown on artist who present their work in black matting, but is the best choice when trying to sell work on the street cause of it's ability to make work look better than most other colors.

  • Thanks for the tip on preparing paper towels ahead of time. No more trying to rip one off in a hurry and watching the whole roll unwind and bounce across the floor.
