@technosiette I would say God does love us very much, and he has done a lot for us, but he is still very selfish when it comes to humans. I am not saying it as a bad thing either. He wants us to worship him alone and give all of us to him and no one else. He wants us to love him more than anything. It is up to you whether you determine "selfish" as a positive or negative thing. I very firmly see it as a positive thing. I wouldn't want God any other way.

@WildcatMatt2010 If you think God is "selfish", why do you think God has created man? If He is "selfish" why do you think God sent His Jesus to die for mere men like you and me? No, He is not selfish. He doesn't need anything from you and me. He already has everything. He is all-sufficient. In fact, He is so full of love that He had to create man to express it to us. His love overflows. Is that what you think is "selfish"? He created man as a receiver of His love.
