Maasai Reggae (Traditional African chants)

Maasai reggae live on stage: lead singer Yamat aka Merege with his group X Plastaz (from Tanzania) with dj Precise on the decks, sings a traditional Maasai song over the 'Hard times' riddim. Live in Libreville, Gabon (West Africa) during the Gabao hip hop festival, june 2006 (this was the 'small show' of that event, the main concert with an audience of 10.000 had been held the day before).

More proof that there's an alternative to the bland commercial Bongo Flava that is ruling the Tanzanian charts...
