I faultlessly tabbed out all of the notes played by the original bassist on this song. A live tab advances on the bottom of the screen so that you can play along and know exactly what notes are being played.
This was a very easy song to do. It was my shortest bass tab ever. My longest bass tab ever was for the song, "Father, Spirit, Jesus," by Casting Crowns, which was a full two-pages long! All of my other tabs have been one-page long. This tab was negative-two pages long! No, it was a half-page long! It was an easy song to play, but there were some slightly complicated, very copacetic bass-runs included within the song. Originally, I played the intro and outro with the rhythm, (1 / 1 / 1,2 / 1,2), which matched the drums, but I listened closer and saw it was a driving beat that the drums wetted on those spots I saw.
This song changes key halfway through. The original key is...... D? (or maybe A). Then it changes to E. I know the second key; I am not sure about the first. I am learning these things still. I've always gotten by without relying on what key a song was in for any pertinent reason. [This part is for YouTube user, " @rodwyr "]
I hope you liked my monologue at the end of the video! For more Jesus awesomeness, read the Bible! haha. For more fictional situations with Jesus, look up "Jesus Is A Jerk **NSFW**" [I do not think that Jesus is a jerk. I think Jesus is Good]
I'll pat my own back and say I love my asterisked notes that demark the quick-change notes. It can be a riddle that mocks you when you're staring at the notes you have to play, and you cannot find their placement in the given time where they all turn up. Hopefully these asterisks clear that up. Case closed?
Pray for me.
Pray I come to God. Pray I am doing the best thing for me that God Planned for me. Pray I get into an amazing, huge band now, if not a second sooner. Pray I am at peace. Pray I am blessed and protected and improved.
I am—hopefully—going to play at a retreat in winter 2011. That is good. That will be my first try-to-impress-the-crowd performance slew in almost a year. I know it's Praise & Worship music that is intended to praise God, but I believe that my job is best served towards praising God if I can usher the kids into that place where they are more apt to serendipitously join God's Family in faith and practice and admiration (it's still a wonderful accident even though I am trying to cause it. That is because the Holy Spirit is guiding them and us into all things [I do not mean to sound kooky—AKA, if I do, msg me, and I'll clarify for you]).
P.S.
I look back at my bass tab a several times during the song. A number of those times I look perplexed. Sometimes it is because I might have lost my place in the notes. Other times it is because I have the irrational fear that I'll mess a simple part up.
Either way, it looks like I am looking at the tab-window on the screen, and I think that that is awesome. I hope I can remember to crack a joke like that purposely in one of my future videos!
P.S.S.
Please indulge me, and buy me a 1080p video camera to tape these videos. Look at the pixelation that my 2 or 3 megapixel Built-In iSight 2009 MacBook Pro webcam gives me. My program, iMovie '11, produces my videos in 1080p. Let me, through your generous donation, make the most of that. All the other viewers would probably appreciate this as well!
P.S.S.S.
Correction — What I called the VERSE in the last two tab-windows on the bottom of the screen in the song should actually be OUTRO. We all fall down, but we should get right back up. Look up the part I just mentioned in the song. There is a secret link on the tab. It will take you to an uplifting video that I just saw on the profile of a recent subscriber and friend to my channel. Tell me what you think of the uplifting video. In fact, tell me what you think of this video that I made! hahaha.
Lyrics (source— http://www.superlyrics.com/lyrics/kGRK4EJnWV@H@Y/Joy_To_The_World_%28Unspeaka... ):
Joy to the world, the Lord is come
Let earth receive her King
Let every heart prepare Him room
And heaven and nature sing
And heaven and nature sing
And heaven and heaven and nature sing
Joy to the world, the Savior reigns
Let all their songs employ
While fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains
Repeat the sounding joy
Repeat the sounding joy
Repeat, repeat, the sounding joy
Joy, unspeakable joy
An overflowing well, no tongue can tell
Joy, unspeakable joy
Rises in my soul, never lets me go
He rules the world with truth and grace
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness
And wonders of His love
And wonders of His love
And wonders, wonders of His love
Joy, unspeakable joy
An overflowing well, no tongue can tell
Joy, unspeakable joy
Rises in my soul, never lets me go
@schunful — I don't use an amp. What discrepancy is there?

@journeyquest1 — At least it's not Lynyrd Skynyrd. What? The real Tom Sawyer? hahahaha. Geddy is a hero of mine, but I want to cover new music. Neal Peart, in the "Live From Rio" DVD, rocked my socks off! He actually won a Grammy for the drum solo he did in that DVD. Who is your player? Is it in fact Geddy? I like my Jazz bass better than the Geddy signature one. I like how mine plays better.

@water353600 — Bro, no, YOU are the amazing one! Thanks for enjoying the video! haha. That made sense? idk. haha. I just posted a new Christmas song video for the song, "Christ Is Here," by Todd Fields. I have another Christmas song video that's going up hopefully tonight. After that I have an even other Christmas video that is going up. If it's too late, it's at least early for 2011! haha. Did you play this song at your church?

@CrankUpTheAmps — You sound really awesome, WO-man!!! And by "sound," I mean "play!" Of course that would entail that "awesome" happens when you play, so I sort of retract some of that in favor of honesty. haha. There's a niche on CL (at least where I live) for girl bands. Jump in the scene! You're uber-young too; the world is in your hands.
