I love WJ Imagination! All this arguing is annoying.... Petal, South Jones, and West Jones all have great shows and all have very different styles.... It is what it is. In the future, maybe WJ will be better than South Jones and Petal. However, this year they did not beat South or petal. :)

I didn't say South was better than West this year (even though they were). Regardless, it isn't about who performs the most songs that you like. If you say that you ENJOYED WATCHING West more than Petal, or anyone else for that matter, I have no problem with that. But THAT doesn't make them BETTER than another group.

Oh, and how Southern groups performances stack up against those from other regions (and seasons) has nothing to do with this.

That said, I loved the Mt. Zion version as well.

Well maybe your right about Petal being better than them but south being better than them is hard to believe this year love shack was the only thing I liked.. Mt.zion did walking her home so much better I felt as South was trying to make people cry I saw them looking around to see but it never did they made it a country version.. but off of that petal was not that good.

Vocally, Petal was nearly untouchable; their combo was second to none, their arrangements were jaw-dropping at times, and their overall sound and look was outstanding.

I'll agree that Petal DOES have quite a reputation, but they certainly don't win OR make finals because of their name. The 2009 West Jones Invitational is clear proof of that.

Listen closely: I AM NOT HATING ON WEST JONES...

...but you are out of your gourd if you thought West was ANY better than Petal, let alone FAR better.

Apparently, you know nothing about showchoir, or even music in general. West Jones is a great choir, and is getting better and better every year; I'll be there first to tell you that.

However, there's a lot more to showchoir than clean choreography and nifty costumes. Petal was FAR better than West (and everyone else in The South NOT named "Attaché", for that matter) in almost every aspect.

i agree... west was FAR better than petal this year. Petal was BAD. they win on reputation alone. The one contest where they brought judges in from outside the south, Petal didnt make finals, that says something right there.....
