Man I STILL catch myself watching that beautiful play even after almost a month, truley amazing,
I love how once he runs it in for the TD he just kinda stands there and has that "There I did it, happy now?" look on his face, priceless XD

For you idiots out there who can't seem to accept that Manning choked away this Super Bowl. Search for this video on Youtube: "2006 AFC Championship Game (Patriots @ Colts)- Asante Samuel Interception".
Same Colts formation, same route, same direction, OPPOSITE side of the formation. Asante Samuel reads the route and jumps it. Manning HAS done this before in a big game. So stop acting like it was Wayne's fault.
He has won MANY games for the Colts, but he LOST this one.

@cmgww Yeah yeah yeah, when the Colts win it's all Manning, when they lose and he throws an interception it's everyone's else fault. Kind of like when Manning had a 3 td 7 interception postseason when the Colts won the SB in the '06-07 season, it was all Peyton, but when they lose his delusional fans blame it on everyone else.

Watch Reggie Wayne...he cut his route off. Plain and simple. Whether he saw Porter coming and didn't want the hit (not like him, he's not known for hearing footsteps), or just plain messed up, it's clear he stopped on the route. Had he ran the square in, Porter and he would have probably just collided and the result most likely would have been an incomplete pass. Just my point of view. Saints played a great game, but don't put this all on Manning

@kingfish4242 Saints games historically have also been among the highest rated regional and local telecasts according to the neilsen ratings. The Saints have a huge following that goes way beyond the Nola metro area. If you take a compass and put the point on the city of new orleans. Start at layfayette La,draw a semi circle up to Jackson MS and end it in Pensacola Fla. That is known in the TV world as the gulf south market and it has more TV sets than the LA California metro market.

@HollywoodAl713 I really really hate to get in an internet smack thread, but I've seen this comment too many times not to respond. Saints fans have always been some of the most loyal in the league. We sold out every game during the Haslett regime although we had a very average team during his tenure as Head coach.
Was Manning throwing the game or what? I can't imagine a worse pass in the crucial moment of one of the biggest sporting events the world has to offer. He wasn't even under pressure. I simply can't understand this.

@ejgiv wasn't under pressure? watch again it was a 6-man blitz. Manning had to get rid of it fast. They tried to confuse Porter and Jenkins by sending Collie in motion back inside Wayne. Didn't work. Wayne could've took an outside route and burned him for the TD. But Porter had seen this play and knew Wayne would run a short slant/comeback route. Porter just sat and waited. Manning/Wayne had run this play on 3rd and short all year with great success. Porter just made a hell of a play.
