@alanlej Thank you for the information. I saw children play this game in Morocco. Do you know how it is played? There are 4 groups of horses arranged by color. You throw the dice, and it moves forward. How do you start? What happen when you land your horse where there's another one present? How exactly do you win?

@Microglia1 @Microglia1 I believe the game you mention is what we calls in France "les petits chevaux", which would be translated by "little horses" game. It's an old game which roots back in 1936. It was derived from the american game parcheesi which was itself adapted from the indian game Pachisi which was introduced in the States during mid-19th century. Hope it helps.

does anyone know what is the French game played on board, dice, with little horses moving along the squares? I remember seeing it in one of Jeunet's films.

Uhmm... Everyone keeps saying it's a great movie... But ... What's it about? :S ... A trailer usually tells you that... Though this one only managed to confuse me :S

Such a brilliant movie, most definitely for thinking persons. Although not explicitly stated by the director, does a good job of highlighting the vices and major downfalls of post-modern consumerism in the present day. If this was made at a later time, it would be filled with allegories and symbolism!
