Police Investigate Single Vehicle Fatal Collision
ELK GROVE, CA On November 8, 2009 at 1:32 a.m., the Elk Grove Police Department responded to a call regarding a single vehicle collision at Shana Way and Whitelock Parkway.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that a white Chrysler PT Cruiser had collided with several trees. Medical personnel and officers located a semi-conscious unidentified 19-year-old male inside the vehicle. The unidentified driver was the only occupant inside the vehicle, and had to be extracted by emergency personnel. The driver was transported to a local area hospital with life threatening injuries. At 5:42 a.m., the driver of the PT Cruiser died as a result of the injuries he sustained in the collision. Identification of the driver will be made by the Sacramento County Coroners Office.
At this time, the collision is under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call the Elk Grove Police Department Traffic Bureau at (916) 478-8148.
