Your tips are great...because of one of your last videos I got my dog Cuddles a head collar. I've noticed a HUGE difference when I walk her now. She doesn't pull at all anymore. Our walks are much more enjoyable.

Just wondering, since she is young, if teaching leave it first, get her solid on that, and then move on to seeding exercises would work with her? Kikopup's channel has a great video about teaching leave it.

@Fidography we actually are told not to teach a leave it command. Leave it is considered a sighted command which the handler has to be able to see the object first to tell the dog to leave it. Because Pilaf will hopefully one day be a guide dog her handler will not be able to see objects that Pilaf might try and go for so she has to learn not to go after anything but those given to her.. We have certain training protocols to follow.

I'm in a Seeing Eye Puppy raising program on my college campus, and I was just interested to know your affiliation with them, if any, and exactly how you correct Pilaf for wrong behavior! Thanks and I'm looking forward to watching the little munchkin grow up :)

@rueklibklie We are puppy raisers for Guide Dogs for the Blind so no affiliation with the Seein Eye. We are doing some collar corrections and a lot of redirecting and praise when she does pick up approved objects. She doesn't really respond to to many collar corrections so we are still figuring out what works well for her.
