Here's a small trailer about the best, wonderful and most dramatic movie I've even seen in my whole life.
It's about a dog named Hachiko (short Hachi) who waited everyday in front of the trainstation to pick up his master from his work. (He was a professor). But after the professor suddenly died during one of his lectures, his wife doesn't want to keep Hachi, so her daugther decided to watch after him. They went far away from their home but Hachi couldn't stay there. He runs away, back to the trainstation to wait for the professor's return. But he will never come back. Even if everyone tries to get Hachi away from the station, the dog always finds a way to get there. So they decided to let him be. So Hachi went to the trainstation every day, even after 9 long years. Sadly one cold, snow-covered night he died while still waiting for his master.

This was the first movie... really the FIRST movie in my life where I started to cry. I think I had to hold it back even 5 times during this movie XDDD It was horrible, but this story was so sa~~d and heartbreaking.
It's based on a true story which took place in Japan. There they built a statue of Hachiko in front of the trainstation of Shibuya in Tokio.

I also watched the japanese original from the 1987 yesterday. I liked it also very much, even though it was a little bit funnier than the remake. ^^

The japanese phrases I put into the trailer.... can someone translate it to me? My japanese language skills are not that great (I study Japanology for one year) and I have great problems in understanding the spoken language if there are no Kanjis as subtitles. He said something like "He's gone and he won't come back. Perhaps you have to to this. I understand your feelings, so if you want to wait just do it"
I don't know if this is correct, like I said... 日本語は難しいので、あまりわからりません。(japanese is difficult so I don't really understand XD)

For everyone who is "built near the water"(XD) be aware when you want to watch this movie. It's really very, very, very, very sad....

^^thx for watching!!
