Bought a new heli then flew it from Florida to California? I couldn't afford the fuel for that flight!

Mquiroz90... The "N" versions don't have a tail rotor, and a few other differences. I like the "F" versions with the longer blades for higher altitude performance. All of them I prefer over the Jetrangers.

Yes - its a ground power unit (or GPU) - or in this case a bunch of batteries. It helps to prevent a hot start (928 degrees C for more than 1 second) by providing enough amperage to run the engine up to 15% N1 (8250 RPM) before introducing fuel. This makes sure enough air is moving through the engine to keep it cool during the start process.

@westcoastpighunt Huge difference - just the change in where you sit was a big thing and then the fact that the 500 does not have hydraulics is another big item. I move back and forth between them now with out too much trouble.
