A quick walkaround of my 1984 Pontiac Grand Prix Pro Touring car. Car is 99% done (no hood, no door panels, and no center console yet). The hood and center console are being worked on now, will be in shortly. Door panels are also complete and just need to be installed.

1984 Pontiac Grand Prix, equipped with Edelbrock crate motor (555 cubic inches, Proflow EFI fuel injection system, roller cam, aluminum heads, etc.).

Attached to this crate motor is a March Pulleys serpentine belt system, custom heater box housing a Vintage Air A/C system, and a high output alternator, MSD ignition, aluminum 3 core Be Cool radiator, dual electric cooling fans...

Also installed in the car:

- crate 4L80E 4-speed overdrive transmission
- 2400 stall converter
- custom driveshaft
- Currie crate 9" "Detroit Locker" rear end with 3:89 gears
- RideTech G-body Levelpro air ride suspension system including upper and lower tubular control arms, strong arms, front and rear anti-sway bars, double adjustable aluminum shocks.
- custom body kit
- all black leather interior
- power heated bucket seats
- custom dash bezel with Autometer Cobalt gauges
- Dakota Digital climate control for AC/heat
- G-tech pro 4" tach for on top of the dash
- B&M 4 speed Megashifter
- Premier head unit
- MB Quart 216 component speakers
- Rockford Fosgate T2 10" subwoofers
- power windows
- power side/door mirrors
- GTO Judge spoiler
- all new deepdish 15x10 wheels in the back, 16x7 up front
- 4 wheel disc brakes (cross-drilled and slotted rotors)
- custom made ceramic powder-coated headers
- 3" full mandrel bent exhaust
- 2 high flow Magnaflow cats
- 3" H-pipe
- 2 Flowmaster Super 40 mufflers
- 6" chrome 'sewer pipe' tail pipes

  • Where did you get that dash? I have the same car and I'm thinking about replacing my dashboard.

  • @symonsays13 I took out the old one and used it as a template to make one. Use cardboard first, lay everything out then get a machine shop to make it out of 1/8" aluminum, get all the gauge holes cut out by them too, then have it powdercoated flat satin black. That's pretty much what I did.

  • WHAT HEADERS DID YOU USE

  • @IGGY2777 Hooker longtube headers, had to notch in a couple spots to make it clear the engine bay, and ceramic coated

  • So whats it do in the 1/4 mile?

  • @sfauver36 she hasn't seen the strip yet. Just got her on the road today and got it aligned. It's a street car, for cruising and car shows. Might never see the strip. Dyno run is next.

  • bravo for building a unloved grand prix, there are people out there that like the FWD ones over this style, very nice build, hopefully you get people ideas going about that 83 GP just sitting in the back yard, yeah the dirty white one with the tires on it looks like it been there since 93....can you say 634 big block poncho powered?
