Wright State coach on Oprah's Lifeclass

Wright State University baseball coach Rob Cooper appeared on Oprah's Lifeclass Wednesday night, Nov. 9, on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN). Cooper talks about his practice of asking his baseball players to read a book in the off-season to drive them to become more than baseball players. Cooper discusses the book The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch, in which Pausch wrote about his experience as a college professor at Carnegie Mellon University, as he approached his final lecture as an educator.

Cooper, in his eighth season at Wright State next spring, had his team read the book as they prepared for the 2009 season in which they won the Horizon League and advanced to the NCAA Tournament. His Raiders have played in three NCAA Tournaments in seven seasons.
