Had a comment deleted by stargazrt4 about a product a they were selling on 'Lovebird Daily Food Regimen' and feeding their birds every day, so thought some people might be interested in this.

This video was done using Nutriberries for Cockatiel food. Other pellet foods are the same. A few low quality but genuine bird ingredients followed by artificial vitamins (created in a lab), crap like corn OIL and corn syrup that just makes your birds cranky, loud, moody and more importantly addicted to expensive junk! Everything in the video is what is put into that food, nothing is missing, that is it.

Lovebirds are not robots, they need a huge variety of food in order to be satisfied. Especially if you are keeping a single bird, foraging is the number one way they will de-stress and combat boredom.

As for the 'super food', it has everything (including ample amounts of vitamin A) but is probably low in calcium. An easy way to enrich any seed/grain mix you already have is to add 10% quinoa grains and mix in some red chili flakes (richer in vitamin A than carrots and parrots love its flavour - it doesn't burn them like it does humans).

Commercial 'pellets' should ONLY be given as a side food not the main food your birds will ever eat.

Promised list of %100 naturally derived ingredients:
Quinoa, clipped oats, groats, barley, wheat, buckwheat, paddy rice, brown rice, alfalfa beans, green lentils, red lentils, soya mince, peanuts, safflower seed, striped sunflower seed, red millet, white millet, hempseed, sesame seed, canary seed, niger seed, brown perilla, linseed, raisins, figs, dates, banana chips, rosehips, red chili flakes, juniper berries, mountain ash berries, kelp powder, garlic sticks, acacia flowers, chamomile flowers and 8% seasonal wild seed mix containing around 30 varieties for boredom. All mixed optimally.

  • Pellets should NOT be given as a side dish the fruits and veggies should be the side dish and i promise you your bird will start eating pellets if you intruduse it right, before my bird wouldnt touch a pellet and now it is his fave. This is not a good diet either you would be better of with the cooked foods cut into small peices just give your bird half and half of cooked foods and pellets it works great for a sick/weak bird. But most of this info on this info is WRONG!

  • his food looks like what I'm eating right now

  • i agreed with you, i bought most expensive pellets (much expensive than human food) but my birds doesn't like them at all, when i told the store, they just said when your birds hungry then they will eat, and I disagree with them, so as you said, I just put pellets as small portion on their diet and gave them other variety of foods, not as much as you had mentioned on the description, but I have tried to put everything good for them available in my city, so trust your birds not the commericals.

  • is this a daily diet?

  • the ingredients in lafebers dont look very good

  • @captmicha cool thanks!

  • Nutriberries are fine as treats. Not to be over done, of course. I like the Golden Feast mixtures, especially their Australian mixture. It's perfect sized for lovebirds.

  • @roudy1689 I agree.

  • Try Roudybush bird food, it is excellent!

  • @liquid00007 She has said many times before that she has deleted not on purpose. She probably doesn't even remember this person.
