I liked it when they said ztena

Also the other favorite song was I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts, by Merve Griffin. Maybe not so lofty but pleasant to a baby ear. : )

I was born in 1948. I am not Jewish but I learned this tune from the radio, I used to sing myself to sleep with it. My parents said , I would announce each song that I would sing and sing until I fell asleep. This song was my favorite. My mother said that she would laugh to herself as it got more faint, at each singing, until I nodded off. Thank you for bringing back a wonderful piece of music and a part of my personal heritage. "Now...I am going to sing.. Tzena, Tzena, again. Thank you!!!

@drummerstevedixon I'm watching his documentary now. With the release of this song and the b side they shot up and became huge commercial hits. They were all of the sudden playing in ritzy hotels and clubs all across the nation. He doesn't drink or smoke and doesn't like nightclubs either and when they played in the fine hotels he always found somewhere else to stay instead of the ritz carlton, etc.

Back when the Bolshies supported Zionism.

When the weavers first were going to this show. someone incharge of the production or someone behind the show im not sure who but they wanted Ronnie to wear an apron and pull bagels out of it while singing. and this is the ignorance they had to deal with

Love the Weavers. New to this song, nicely done and a nice 'pitch'.Appreciate LordFearsage bringing this music to U Tube.
I love this up beat song. I want to dance. I can't seem to find a YouTube video of "So Long, It's Been Good To Know You." Thank you for uploading.
