re: How Real People Will Use Windows 8

Here is a parody video of the Windows 8 Consumer Preview Demo tutorial.

In windows 8 you now have apps, apps, and more apps!!

Windows 8 can work across tablets, laptops, and desktops, making it super difficult and frustrating to get actual work done.

Because who wants to use the computer to work anyway right? You'd rather browse emails, have IM chats, listen to music, look at pictures, check the weather, go shopping, play video games, and watch viral videos all the at the same time!!

Do you think that regular everyday people will be able to grasp how to use all the improved and rebolstered Windows features?

Sad that i can't blame Windows 8. I moved to Linux 6 years ago. But i have tested W8 a year ago. Gee what a pile of shit it was.

So true! There is so much useless annoying features of Win8, they just want it to look cool, but it feels like crap to use it.

Excellent analysis. I just installed Server 2012. Holy crap! A server that acts like a smartphone. Now that's real brilliant. As a server administrator you need to get to your utilities quickly. Servers don't need "Apps" WTF! It's a pain just to reboot the computer. Hello Linux!

I completely agree with you here, also having tried Windows 2012. I remember you still could reboot with Alt-F4 on the desktop. Ever since Vista came out, it was apparent to me that they needed just one more edition/SKU of Windows besides the regular one, called "Pro" or No BS Edition, which would look like Win2000, would be in English (size), without too many graphics. And then let the market decide which one would be more popular.

Tis indeed, the original Microsoft video isn't online anymore, but it is a spoof of their instructional demo
