I don't think I've ever seen so many Japanese players in one race before, let alone so many Japanese players with high VR. Being stuck with the Jetsetter against them wasn't going to be easy...

Rainbow Road
Burnout at the beginning, wonderful. I must just have a bad sense of timing. Didn't race particularly well but still managed to place 2nd comfortably

Wario's Gold Mine
I know it sounds kind of odd, but pay close attention to the mini map, especially the Funky Kong and the Mii Player. Looks like they were trying to accomplish the new Wario's Gold Mine glitch I'm told. The 9999 VR Funky Kong player somehow still took second place against what were some half decent players after failing do to the glitch a couple of times.

Choose manual, and then just hold down the drift button for a while, it's B or R depending on your control scheme.

Not much other than "learn the course." Practice it on time trials until you're happy with tackling the course.

Yeah, the special cup will unlock the Mii, but it's Mii Outfit A

Rosalina in the Honeycoupe/Dragonett is one of my favorite combos in the Heavyweight category :3 And it's one of the few vehicles that I can use on both automatic and manual.

And did you seriously think that you didn't race that well on Rainbow Road? Heck, I could never perform that well on Rainbow Road D: ! You're really good!
