Very touching and meaningful song I understood alot of my "dad" and really finally forgave him of all the the things I "thought was his fault" For once in my life I really understood ... and was completely at peace with him BTW I spent last fathers day in jail and my birthday aint life sumpen best not happen ever again I hope you approve my real to life comment cuz I AM a real person telling true stories and writing songs about them from the heart of Texas in Amarillo to be exact ...... Debby, I am 70 and this song really makes me miss my Father. He was strict but was always there for me even when I turned down a chance to go into pro baseball and chose computers instead. I love your songs as they really are about life and the way things were and are. God Bless.

@pastore0506 Hi George, I had the same lump in my throat and tears when I wrote this song about my dad. He died too soon and I miss him. We probably understand our parents more when they're gone. Your dad and mine would have loved this song.
