Part 1 of 9

The Harmony Gold dub of the original MEGAZONE 23 was adapted and cut together with footage from SUPER DIMENSION CAVALRY SOUTHERN CROSS, to make ROBOTECH: THE MOVIE. A new ending was produced by the studio who animated MEGAZONE 23 and thus resulted in the first batch of animation created for a ROBOTECH project.

ROBOTECH: THE MOVIE was set for a wide release, but was pulled after a test screening in Texas. The movie saw release in several other countries before Harmony Gold's license to MEGAZONE 23 ran out and decided not to renew it. ROBOTECH: THE MOVIE thus has been neglected to secondary continuity within the ROBOTECH universe.

Due to the highely unlikely possibility of this film ever being released again in the future, I've decided to upload it here for those who haven't seen it. However, please support the MEGAZONE franchise by buying the original chapter and see what was edited out and changed to make ROBOTECH: THE MOVIE and help support the anime industry. @demoskunk Have you seen the re-edited version released in the last box set? They had to remove ALL of the Megazone scenes to comply with distribution and copyright. THAT is the most embarassing hack-job I've seen.

I played this at Anime Club recently. We all knew it was a crudely cut and pasted film, but my did we enjoy it! This movie is much better with a big screen, good speakers, and a few friends.

if i hot the lottery Mega Millions ($175 million) ill throw all that money into making a REAL robotech movie and make it right with no f*** ups taken or just make it a episode series, so the story line will make sense
