there have been countless times when I've sat in a stand (in archery season, so i dont need orange) where I've have had blue jeans and a white t shirt on and deer pass directly under my feet. as long as you dont move, your quiet, and you dont make noise, you probably wont get spotted

Don't you have to wear an orange vest when you go deer hunting? because i have to wear one when i go hunt deer
-
I wear a blaze orange suit hunting in the middle of winter because its the warmest thing I have. I've killed many deer including 2 while wearing it this winter.

expert village is full of shit

It scares the hell out of me that some people need to be told what wear to stay warm while hunting. "and proper hygiene is important so always try to wipe from front to back."

listen im not saying to go out with pink and bright green hats on! sure some tan overalls and a dark green sweater will do fine. im sayin dont go out and spend 500$ on just camo. get realistic here people

They can still see you if your next to a tree wearing orange, but if your wearing camo you blend in with all the things around you.

This is a joke! Deer are color blind, why do you think people wear orange and still get more deer? look at all the money you waste on just buying camo? its a waste of money. sure if your bow hunting u want somthing thatblends for movment. but what u doin movin while the deer is 8ft next to you? if ur not ready by then then just leave. DEER CANT SEE COLOR! so stop wasting all ur money on camo

american indians didnt wear camo. why cant earth tones work?
The thermal protection is vital, without a doubt. However, it's pointless and DANGEROUS to be hunting deer without some very bright colors. DEER CAN'T SEE COLOR! They see motion very well but can't tell the difference between your tree bark outfit and my bright orange jumpsuit.
Other hunters, especially the drunk ones, will often shoot at ANYTHING that is moving and isn't bright orange.
Please write out your script and practice before you tape. The "um's" and "uh's" are distracting.

HEY deer can see colors go read the texas fish and game may 2009 magazine Whitetail myths page 52
It says deer can basically see in color as much as humans do, but with red-green color blindness. While they do not see reds well at all, they might see blues better than we do. So hunters orange might be ok to an extent but deer can still SEE COLORS.
