I just bought a new ninja 250R not long ago and it was much heavier than it should be so I rebuilt the chassis from the ground up by removing all the parts apart from the obivous parts that needed to be their such as the engine and fuel tank, wheels etc. after rebuilding the bike I had weighed it and I had dropped about 15 KG from the official 179KG weight.
This is stock weight. I yet still to add aftermarket parts such as Exhaust, K&N filter removal of the air box.

I’ve wanted to know the answer to that question for ages, looked everywhere online and could only see very old and ugly ones. Best bet would be to enquire at a Kawasaki dealer; unfortunately there isn't 1 close to where I live. Or try the bike show at the NEC in Birmingham, this is held every year in November (I think). You’ve got all the dealerships there that will more than likely sell them. It’s also very good for buying helmets, gloves, boots, accessories etc.

BMW RR .... ZX-10R ... tested them 3 days each in Mugello..... Various set ups, various tires .... and I have to say..... the 10R is the better bike....TC smoother, turning into turn way easier, acceleration about the same.... one RR advanteage, serial qucik shift .....

Great bike!! :D
I'm not the best rider in the world, but I roll on a '06 10R that has been on a diet. I removed about 20 pieces that didn't really need to be there including the entire exhaust and went with a Bos Bros. Moria (not so smart).
I can't say for sure how much weight I removed, but I filled up two medium sized boxes with parts.
You always hear the magazines touting new bikes as "leaner and meaner".
My question is when does a bike with that much horespower become too light?

@Rick258442 Traction control and wheelie control takes care of that problem, just like in MotoGP (150kg weight limit for 4cylinders)
