Aye, that's oor Stevie. In Underhand Jones he was great (for the songs that he was intae), but he couldnae get to play guitar, since there were already 2/3 guitarists. he wiznae a happy bunny, even tho he got a free bus pass tae come tae rehearsals. -- Brian
Anyone know if they will restore the bandstand? I just spent all night with my dad looking at photos of these shows. It's crazy how this bandstand just sits all fenced up and abandoned. I know there's hundreds of young Glasgow bands out there that would play a gig or two on that stage and would attract a pretty good crowd too.
Pretty sure I was there also, does anyone have a complete band run down for this year?
This really is freaky, almost like time travel, I keep waiting to see myself walk past! I never missed these free shows, and mostly the Chou Pahrot performances! As is this song by Zero Zero, what a well pollished sound, way ahead of their times.
Wow, this takes me back. Me and my mate were there with a bottle of Newcastle Brown each. I've still got a cassette of them from the Radio Clyde Rock Show the following week when the whole thing was transmitted. Never thought I'd see them again - Thank You, You Tube!
