A Valley Without Wind 2 Beta Trailer

What is Valley 2? It's basically a Metroidvania game mashed up with a turn-based strategy game. This is sort of the spiritual successor to the old SNES game Actraiser in some ways, and in other ways there's just not anything else out there like this -- not even AVWW1.

On the combat side, things are more visceral and tactile this time around. Spells have mass and can block each other, and the way enemies are designed and placed has been re-thought from the ground up.

If you've already bought AVWW1, you get this game free! If you buy these in the future, you get both for the price of one. Each is unique in its own way, although already I far prefer the sequel. Still, the first one broke a lot of really unusual ground, and we wanted to preserve that for people to be able to experience and enjoy, even while the series moves on with this sequel. It's the best of both worlds!

We're expecting to hit and 1.0 in January or February, and public beta is starting today!

I wasn't even aware of this in the works. I bought the first AVWW, it was alright, but really missed out on the potential it had. Then I check my library today, and see this in there. Installing right now, let's see if they utilized that potential :D

Ah yes, this looks much better. For one thing, the smaller spell effects means they can be bullet hell dodged like you would with skill in a mega man style game. I'm so glad you are going through with this after AVWW1.
