over power a little? i wouldnt do that. the rated rms is just below when the sub voice coils will fry or melt...

the largest gold series and the largest pyramid crystal series were not shi#. they were the cleanest amps and best sounding amps ive ever had.
sure they werent the loudest, but they were loud enough to shake windows a lil and people would start dancing as i drove by. enough for me.
im not a JL namebrand spoutin robot.

why would you tell people that, pyramid is shit , especially a 4 channel. just save your money and get something better.

it doesnt damage the speaker if underpowering them. it depends on the gain setting. when the amp is at its end it will distort but then turn down gain a little.

underpowering hurting a sub is a myth sorry that one was busted. u cant hurt something thats rated to handle 500 rms with 100 rms. even if it distorts. is it good for the sub or speaker?. no, but it wont hurt it.

i've been underpowering mine (all 8) ever since i got them and i have never blown a woofer. i do beat on them alot. Im the usaci national points leader for 09.

DON'T UNDER POWER YOU CAN CEASE THE SUBS!!!!!! if any thing you should over power a little BUT DO NOT UNDER POWER!!!!! you can kill Subs that way

yeah it is but a little to much with these subs. You will just blow the subs very fast. They are only rated at 750rms in a vented box. They can handle about 900-1000 though so dont do it.

no these r 15's not 12's but 15's and if u read correctly they handle 1000 watts RMS

dont get that amp. Thats a little to much for these subs. Get the 2008d! its not as strong and is perfect for the port
