It's interesting how bosses back then just followed a simple pattern and were really hard. Unlike most games nowadays, where it's usually "Attack its weak spot for massive damage."

it´s easy to win with the axe...but when you lose one time against him,you start at the chapel room and you only get the holy water and not the axe...and THAT is way more difficult

Holy crap, you beat him with the axe? I always used the holy water because it did consecutive damage, but now I know that the axe can be just as effective.
