    it doesnt matter if the cubs made the series in 84' they would have gotten smoked by detroit. no one was beating detroit that year.

    Yea it was it still haunts me and many cubs fans to this day, not as bad as 84' did but it was bad. Maybe next year.

    I agree. They should have reached the World Series and I really do believe they would have beat the Yankees. That would have been an epic World Series. Kerry Wood and Mark Prior were lights out .. the Cubs bats came alive .. everything was clicking.

    Its just a real shame how game 6 turned out.

    True this tribute really lacks in the highlight department as far as the 03 Cubs are concerned. That 03 team was extremely exciting and had many memorable moments like:

    - Prior's 16 k game

    -Zambrano catching a Barry Bonds line drive

    - That epic 5 game series against the Cardinals in September that had many epic moments

    -Some of Sosa's moonnshots like the one where he launched a ball to the upper deck in Florida

    - That three game series against the Yankees that had many epic moments
