Taken while me and a friend paid a visit to the Anschulz Medical Center at the now defunct Fitzsimmons Army Base which closed either in the very late 1990's or just at the turn of the century. Both the base and the defunct Stapleton Airport are being redeveloped into suburbs and business areas. Several hospitals that once resided in Denver now call the Fitzsimmons former army base home.
This video was put together from a hodge-podge of takes in order to get a complete elevator ride uninterrupted with stops and during the times when the cab was not busy. As you can see in the beginning, the lobby was hustle and bustle and the initial trip up was a full car. The lunch rush may have been tapering off at that time, so while my friend was seeing his doctor, I took advantage of that time to get more footage and was fortunate to get a full "Up" trip. Carefully sorting through and placing different shots, I accomplished my goal. You get a complete up and down ride plus some nice views from the seventh floor.
I would'nt say I got lucky, I just edited all the garbage out. As you can see, I did get on a crowded elevator at first. I did manage to get a up and down trip by myself but they did not come easy. But I guess getting an elevator to myself in a medical facility during business hours is somewhat by luck of the draw.
