Only because because of his love for weed and Pop Eyes Chicken.

Dude he was in Hawaii not Kansas...lol. Also his Mom moved him around alot so he is pretty worldly. I agree I am not a full fledged fan of his, but let's be accurate here.

I know what they are saying:
"Do what we want politacally, and we are glad that Bush guy is gone.
-
Now Obama due some real good with this award.
congrats.
-
you sir are correct. Due to Obama's upbringing, many people believe Clinton was closer to African American culture.
-
You're right I don't him, but I know that he just didn't have the typical upbringing of a black man in this country. I just don't like it when people try to right him off as the first black president, he is the first mixed race president. I'm not sure if we'll ever have a descendant of slaves in the white house. And your right he did marry a black woman. Look don't get the wrong idea I support him, but as an African- American I never felt that connection. Its all good though
-
I dont think you are looking at the bigger picture here. Yes others did deserve it, but they decided on him. He did not ask for the award he was just as surprised as we are.
I would elaborate more, but that would be a little to much for a youtube comment :D.
Thank you for responding though.

Specsquee, He was nominated about two weeks into his presidency. I just think there are people much more deserving of the Nobel Peace Prize. Actual accomplishments, and not just wanting to accomplish something.
-
Wait, I just have to ask this why don't you feel Barack was a "brother". Do you know him?
He married Micheal didn't he. A lot of black men reach an affluent position, and choose a white woman to marry. Not him.
Plus, he vested himself in that community and he became part of it. He could have gotten a high paying job as a lawyer, but he chose to work in that community.
So, when is a brother a real brother, my brother.
May all the goodness and the Gods that brought them bless you, my brother
-
Well what I mean is Barack had no connection to an African American community before he moved to Chicago. He wasn't raised around black people. Anyways I get what you're saying, but I am not racist. I'm black actually. But I never felt that Barack was a "brother." I voted for him and I support him though
It was simply an endorsement of Obama's goals. His spirit of cooperation is what is being celebrated because it is a force for peace. It is more than anything coming out of anyone's mouth in recent years that even comes close to the aims of the Nobel Peace Prize. Let's hope the results match the rhetoric.
