I am attempting to create a low cost solution in which I can mount my Christmas Mini Lights neat and tidy around the windows on the outside of my home they must be well spaced and perfectly straight with room to add more light cords for future use

  • we have vinal siding on my house and this is how I instal them around windows and such works wonderful

  • @corytcline Well in some sections we have siding and other sections we have brick etc.So I am adding these strip and have installed them everywhere I think ide like to hang lights. This will make thngs so much easier for years to come , thanks for your comment and your view !

  • Sweet. I like the fact that all the lights are perfect and not pointing in different direction like when you just staple them to the house or window frame. Very creative and functional. Getting excited for X-mas. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with next. Great job. I enjoyed seeing your Christmas tree as well. Keep up the good work buddy. Have a great day and tell your kids Uncle Mark says, "WUZ UP!?!" :)

  • @MNirouse Yes I admit that I did use the staple down method for the Halloween display , however I simply ran out of time.I promised myself to make sure that things would be better for Christmas.Testing shows one window frame completed and all lights are perfect. This weekend I now move forward and complete all other windows using this method.A few simply awsome design elements are in building process as well as songs and programming.Lots to do and only 1 of me lol.

  • I like it. Keeps them nice and neat.

  • @daef13165 I also like to keep them nice and neat.I did complete one test frame on my main window of my home.I bundled together four clours of Mini Christmas Lights ( Reb , Blue , Orange , Purple ) for a test trial.I was able to fit all the leads into the make shift light holder I was not able to keep the exactly nice and neat.So I pulled out the entire cable lead and will reduce down to 3 cables ? or maybe even 2 cables which does fit nicely. Thanks for your comment and your view !

  • Geat idea

  • @hd2kill Well, "Me" appreciates what "you" go threw doing these displays. I look at other people decorations, not for how much money they spend on there light and stuff. I look at the detail and the process they went through to make it look great. I like your displays because I know your putting yourself into the creation. I do the same with my lip sync videos. I try to put a little piece of myself in to make the video more original and authentic. Your getting me excited for X-Mas! :) Peace!

  • @MichaelSwan66 Yeah thanks this is a testing version. We will see how it all works out soon.I will build and install a few units and load them with light cords to test for weight etc

  • looks good :)
