16 year-old Jeffrey was found living in the hallway of a building in Brooklyn during the dead of winter. He was on the euthanization list February 14th at the NYC shelter, and rescued by Heart and Hand Society. Jeffrey was suffering from an infected bite wound under his chin, for which he had 19 bandage changes and spent six weeks in a cone.
Jeffrey was someone's dear pet at one time. He loves to sleep up by the pillows and he comes running at the sound of a crinkling bag, expecting a treat. He tolerates other cats but is quite the jealous boy and cherishes his pre-breakfast cuddles. He loves to play with his toys and also spends much of the day sleeping. He has impeccable litter-box manners.
This boy has hyperthyroid, for which he is receiving medication. He is also at the very onset of kidney disease, but currently stable and only on supplements in his food. If you'd like to help or adopt Jeffrey please contact Heart & Hand Society at 917-519-0594
How is JEFFREY now? What an adorable song! I am very happy that you gave Jeffrey LIFE♥♥♥
