I, Too saw London Parris & the Apostles in the early 70's when I was 5 or 6.in Crosby, Minnesota..we had our 1st CASSETTE recorder (A Norelco) & we taped it & the tape still sounds good today, although has lost some of the high end & replaced with hiss, you can still hear London's DEEP voice! ;) Thanks for the memories! Now I'm gunna dig out my cassette & play it :)

London Parris and the Apostles performed in our church in the 1970s. It was a great time for all. Thanks for posting his music.

I know that London is from "yesteryear" so to speak but if he was alive and young today I'm quite sure he wouldn't stay unemployed for long. Of all the Bass singers he is my favorite. Most of the really deep voices don't sound as good, where the ones that sound really good aren't that deep. London sounds good and is DEEP.

London Parris was the best bass singer of all time. His notes were as low as JD Sumner and even lower than Tim Riley. His lowest notes were so clean, natural, and full or power. Quiet a singer period.

My father has a record of the Blackwood Brothers Quartet released about 1971 or 1972. In that album they recorded the song, "I'll Fly Away." London Paris does a deep bass solo on "Just a few more weary days and then I'll fly away, to a land where joy shall never end, I'll Fly Away."
..godd song! very good...
