Would someone, please, explain to me the thought process which would cause someone to not evacuate when suggested to? I hate to sound callous, but honestly, what even happened to those who stayed invited what happened to them, individually.

God Bless this family, and I hope that the kids posting retarded comments on this video grow up very soon. I had to watch my hometown flood a few years before this and I would never want to see anybody ever go through something like that again

Unbelievable that our country;s leader at the time couldn't dispatch its resources to help many of these people in time. I got to see New Orleans in her glory in '97 and can't imagine what it's like now; although I hear it's getting better. God Bless.

Lots of people tried to evacuate and couldn't. A lot of people didn't have the money or anywhere to go. And there have been a lot of hurricans that almost hit before so a lot of people didn't believe it was going to be as bad as it ended up. These people are strong and thank God they survived.
