Talking Docklands - Ojas Desai

Ojas' visual essay focuses on the themes he considers to rule the Docklands -- contrast, conflict and confluence -- and explores the idea that the Docklands offers a new way to 'live'. Ojas attempts to reconcile the contrast between the Australian dream of owning land with the ethic of shared, open spaces? According to Ojas, 'the Australian Dream has a new home in Melbourne...the platform on which Melbournians can dream is possibly higher, more fluid and less defined' than it once was.
