  • I'm a fourth generation fireman/firefighter. This person is a total waste of flesh and blood. Serving the citizens of Los Angeles is an honor, not a job, and the position must be earned, not just given. This so-called rookie and the sorry excuse for a lawyer trying to make a name for herself have absolutely no idea what a privilage it is to be able to serve save and protect the people who pay the salaries. The public expects the very best and we have delivered.

  • I don't even know why firefighters get paid so much. They don't even make the top ten most dangerous jobs list and most deaths aren't even caused from fighting fire.

  • Finally someone sticks up for themselves and what is right. If you want to volunteer go for it. However if you are hired as an employee you are legally entitled to be paid for your time. How about we let all employers make employees volunteer for the hired assignment, because the employee should just love their job abd do it for free. All I see are blue collar comments, by those who are scared of their so called brothers. I thought firefightes we're suppose to be brave. Yeah right!

  • I can not understand why the hell you would go through the academy and the competition to get hired just to be a little dick and fuck it all up

  • It's funny how most fire fighters are volunteer and you never hear them complain about their job, most people do this job because they truly love what they do and want to help their community. The rookie year is to prepare you for the department and to see if you fit in a brotherhood where your life depends on the person next to you. Bringing doughnuts or showing up early is a small price to pay to have the best job in the world. I wonder if he wants to be payed to help out at a burn camp also.

  • My brother-in-law was a volunteer fireman, an from stories told, he saw some serious shit, but he keep going back. The only reason he isn't now, is because he was tired have the way shitheads like these fucks ruined the whole thing. Namely the pencil pushers that never saw a fire no larger then a camp fire.

  • LOL @ the dipshits in this thread who enjoy working for free, being boned by their employer, and then ask for more.

  • @AlexNunez514 Completely agree, I am in the process of trying to get hired on by the LAFD. I'LL WORK FOR FREE FOR A YEAR IF IT MEANS I GET TO BE LAFD! Quit bitching about making coffee and bringing donuts. This guy has no idea who would kill to be in his position. Makes me sick.

  • Jarod,

You are a complete jack ass, I am sure everyone who reads this knows its you. Only you would come back here bragging about yourself. I can give a shit less what awards you got, while your here, why not tell everyone about your Paramedic awards and underwater diving. Bottom line is your character is shit. I hope you enjoy being 86'ed from every department in the US.

  • @30yrLAFD Sure your the scum, part of a crap department. Your 30 years oviously didn't teach you anything. Your culture is what ruined your FD, Baby Boomer B-tch.
