No Television Signal With Hauppauge HD PVR and EyeTV/Xbox 360 On Mac

I have attempted every possible combination in trying to figure this thing out. All connections are properly placed and EyeTV 3 is up to the latest firmware. The Hauppauge is 2 days old from Best Buy and the TV was delivered on Tuesday. Nothing is broken. I want to record my very first Black Ops gameplay so I'm stuck doing the campaign for the time being.

@ToPiiCsHD Give us some more information. In my case, I had to go through 3 HD PVR units at Best Buy before it finally worked. Make sure your eyeTV is all up to date with the latest software version and if it is and you're still not seeing anything, well, I hope you still have that receipt laying around.

have got the switch on the underside of the xbox component bit that goes in to the xbox switched to HD ?

@MonsterAchievements Yes. They were faulty units to begin with.

If you're using those heavy white component cables that came with the HDPVR try using lighter and shorter cables to see if that issue stops. I had the same issue for 2 years and ever since I got rid of those heavy white cables that came with the unit my problems have disappeared. I'm even using cheap composite yellow, red, and white cables for the video and the quality is exactly the same as higher priced higher quality cables.

I also got mine fixed by just buying cheap component cables, now it all works great

I have had mine for about a month and it has worked fine until last night. i had the same problem, but fixed it. It is the junky cables it comes with. i just switched mine around so the ones that were going into the pvr are now in the tv and the ones in the tv are now in the pvr. The best solution is to go buy some new component cables. good luck!

Same thing used to happen to me, close your recording software twice ( mine is Arcsoft capture module ) , and take the power cable out of your hauppauge hd pvr, open up your capture module on your computer, wait 5 seconds, plug your power cable back into your hd pvr and turn the power on ;)

Hope this helps bro x. .. i got seriously annoyed with it and thought about selling my hauppauge device, someone told me about this method and i did it everytime i couldnt get any signal
