I tend to stuff the rice with cooked minced pork, or cooked minced chiken, then I sprinkle some paprika pepper it tastes good.
You can also mix shreded sea weed with the rice.

Did not hear any mention of this being described as Thai.

I appreciate that you're showing us how to make our favorite dishes, but whenever you make Lao dishes like the grilled sticky rice with eggs, please stop adding "Thai" to your description. It's really misleading and you're sending the wrong message. You're lumping Lao and Thai foods together, but they're separate.

Ive had a rice cooker all 30 years of my life and just now trying different ways of cooking rice. Thanks for the tips!

My mom fries it instead of grills it. So I guess this is a healthier alternative.
Wow. What a mind-blowing dish.
I made this for breakfast with regular glutinous rice, brushing on the egg three times each side. I couldn't believe it tasted so good without spices or sauce. The rice seems to melt inside, and the skin is like rich bread crust. It's a perfect replacement for grits and toast.

I serve this with pure maple as the dipping sauce. I treat it as the Asian version of French Toast
