What would it be like to spend an evening with Thomas Jefferson, third President of the united States? More than 400 curious citizens attended the Blake Library in Stuart, Florida for a night with J.D. Sutton as he meticulously impersonated the legendary writer of the Declaration of Independence. Take a look.

  • Stuart, FL not Stewart.

  • You are so right. Stewart was his brother-in-law.

  • Jefferson was soft spoken, and not much of an orator. His words on paper however were very bold. But shouting them like this is very inaccurate.

  • Vote McCain??!! Ron Paul was the only choice. McCain is the opposite of Jefferson.

  • Government big enough to supply everything you need is big enough to take everything you have .... The course of history shows that as a government grows, liberty decreases."

-Thomas JeffersonThe tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

    Thomas Jefferson

T Jefferson If we allow private bankers to control our money we will forever be their slaves how right he great man was in my mind the greatest statesman of all times anywhere on earth

  • @NJRocks281 My research does indicate that Mr. Jefferson was indeed a soft-spoken gentleman. In this video, J.D. Sutton is in an auditorium with a very inadequate sound system, therefore accounting for his overly raised voice. If you're going to do a show, you have to be heard in the back of the room.

  • According to Jefferson experts, he sounded NOTHING like this guy. He was very quiet and not a particularly good orator. His written works are brilliant and respectable. Too bad he was one of the greatest hypocrites in American history, same as his buddy and neighbor, Madison. Both were against slavery, but 'owned' over 200 of them, and decided ultimately that, while they thought slavery was wrong, they couldn't "afford" to free theirs. Puhleeze. Jefferson is how you spell `hypocrite'.

  • @wellundecided

    And, our only hope...

  • @Miikaika25

Monticello is ITALIAN for "little mountain".

  • @ReptarKillerOfOzone his website, but what grad level are you writing this for ?

  • Monticello is french for small mountain or small hill?? also is jefferson from virgina? ... did he hate benjaman franklan

  • Thomas Jefferson was well-educated but never forgot that when you become POTUS, you're supposed to be president for ALL Americans. For god's sake! The only last great president was JFK. Not because he was killed. He wanted to abolish the fed. Ron Paul seems to be the last hope.
