Sorry, I have not been on this one for awhile. We will be reshooting this video soon with current techniques used at Willow Creek. This method is a good one, but we are constantly looking for easier ways to train dogs. i know they are somewhat different but i am getting a pointer puppy in a week and i was wondering what i should expect? I will be keeping her inside my home but i possibly would like to get her into hunting to keep her mentally and physically stimulated... how do i need to go about getting her into this?

Thanks a lot for this Video.... my quistion is:- Dose this part "Part1" is the first step of training the dog?? or there are more steps before this one... thank you and waiting for you answer.

NOTE: this is the first time for me to use a pointer in hunting. i have one and it's doing very well but the problem is the sound conmmands. i cann't contact with him by sound but he doing his job very well and he don't bring the bird to me after i shot. thanks

@willowcreekkennels I have two 17-week old German Shorthair pups that freeze when they are on the whoa post or the sling. When I take them off of either the post or the hoist, it's like they now have forgotten what whoa means, especially when I bring out the wing and rod. Do you have any videos showing how you do it off of the post?
