THANSK for posting this fascinating footage! I agree with the posters who commented here about t these credits not doing enough to explain the premise of the show. All the viewer can tell is that it's set in New York City and that it concerns some upper middle class people. Catchy tune, though! I wish I'd watced more of this short lived CBS sitcom. I enjoyed what little I was able to see. VERY talented cast. Sadly, both Peter Cook & Dana Hill passed away years ago. :(

The opening is bad. You'd think the city was the star instead of the actors. But the show was alright.

I saw a clip with Mr. Troughton on a rowing machine in the British version of The Two of Us and it was superior to the US version of the same name. I would have preferred the British interpretation, but imported shows were not shown on television.

Like Aeolis7, I remember the theme song very well...the show did air for two seasons on CBS. Personally, I like this version (though the first theme "rocked" with the leading trumpet).

I was real little when this show aired but my mom was crazy about it. If there was in fact something worthwhile about this show, it had to be Peter Cook.

i remember one episode involving buglaries....when mom and dad saw me watching it, they wouldnt let me watch the show again, but it was funny

This wasn't a bad show, and I don't mind the music in the theme song. But the visuals in this theme song don't make a lot sense. After five seconds, you can figure out the show is set in New York City. It doesn't make a lot of sense to CONTINUE showing stock footage of landmarks, joggers in Central Park, a taxi, etc. We get it. It's New York.
Instead, maybe show me something that gives me some clue what the show is about.
