sounds like you have a blocked jet in the carbs possibly. had the same problem on my 16v conversion

haha.... never noticed that mate... you're right it's not MPI it is carb fed... the engine was MPI before the carbs were fitted

sounds like its miss fireing and also how can it be multi point injection with carbs? if it is multi point injection then they are throttle body's im running cbr600 carbs ashley racing 4 branch and ported and polished head on my polo gt ;) pretty damn quick too

dont spray nos before the carbs pal it will freez the throttle flaps open like it did to my mates mk4 golf spray it through the inlet manifold

it seems like a pretty effective way to set up a car because theres so many economic ways you could run it like say taking a v8 with 8 indivudual bike carbs and using all 8 cylinders to get it up to speed but on using like 4 to keep the car going once its at highway speed

sounds like a head gasket issue or a compression leak somewhere.

it ran fine before the carb conversion and had since been converted back to standard, it seems alright on the compression side, but i'm not clued up as it is not my work
