Here is a TV Broadcast of Jonas Hellborg, Shawn Lane, Umamahesh, Umashankar and Ramakrishnan playing a beautiful tune "Aga of the Ladies", at the Swedish Jazz Celebration Festival, Nalen, Stockholm, Seden, on the 29th March 2003.



This was probably Shawn's last ever TV appearance, and sadly just 6 months before he passed.

@lovekurt Oh good to hear it Q... i still listen to Shawn literally every day, as i am right now. Been without a laptop since the summer (i'm in the library right now to get online), but hopefully i'll be getting a new one in the next couple of weeks (i need to, so i can see my kids on webcam on xmas day). Was the Falls Church, Washington - 22nd April 2002 gig pro shot with pro sound? Does anyone know how long it was and if available to buy?

Yeah that gig was Pro shot, but only Jonas himself, and maybe one or two other people i know of on Earth have a copy of the full quality version of the full video, however there is a 53 minute 'edited' crappy quality version (taken from the same camera source) that was posted on the net. That's all we (the public) have as far as 'footage' is concerned.

There IS a pretty decent 'Audio' audience recording of that full gig, that is 126 minutes long.

Great performance, it sounds like Lane is own his own trip, the Indians are on another trip with Hellborg trying to tie the 2 sets together. They tend to drift into their own private universes time and again but when those two universes come together, there is sheer musical magic...............
