"You Don't Have to Say You Love Me" is a song recorded by British singer Dusty Springfield. It is an English version of an Italian song called "Io che non vivo (senza te)" (translated: "I, who can't live (without you)") written by Pino Donaggio and Vito Pallavicini. Springfield heard it at the Sanremo Festival in 1965 where it was performed by Donaggio himself and his team partner Jody Miller, and she presented it to Vicki Wickham and Simon Napier-Bell, who wrote the English lyrics for the song.

@movaliz -Wohh, on the Dusty comment! Her version is amazing, and she's the reason this song even exists in English!
However, I do agree on all your points on Brenda Lee's version. This is the first time I've ever heard this version, and it's giving me butterflies, BUT Dusty also sings from the heart, and her version is equally good in my ears.
