Keaggy's great strength, I think, is his improvisational skills - he runs rings around the others this way; plus he only has 80% of a right hand. Muriel's fingerstyle is a pleasure, as well, as always.

Playing at the 2011 L.A. Guitar Festival...check out the video!

Mauriel Anderson is great no doubt but I just don't think Albeniz's Rumores is meant to be played with that much attack and aggressiveness... the tune is about water and needs more subtle touches like Chris Parkening gives it.

You have summed it up most eloquently. I think I may copy, paste and print that.

Wasn't much impressed with LJ. He always looks like he's holding most of the good stuff back, like he's afraid to play guitar naked in public.
Muriel and Phil show us all the goods. Words fail when they start to play.
Muriel's smile is devastating.
And finally in the trio at the end, LJ starts turning the crank too. Awesome.
c'mon.. Keaggy and Juber are both great in their own rights.

There is a certain part that God expects us to do, and then there is a certain part that only God can do. Some people just naturally pick it up faster, better, easier. Talent. Hard work plus talent equals greatness.
