These facts just might open your eyes to some disturbing information.

The example of 4 inches being a million dollars, was made famous by one of the fiscally smartest people ever. People who agreed with him know this, and people who disagreed with him, never gave him a chance. In retrospect, even most of the people who hated him then, now see that he really saved the day. But there are some people who still hate him today, either because they do not understand the concepts that he promoted, or because they are still hung up on one or two issues (out of thousands) that piss them off.

Can you guess who this person is?

  • did the us spend 14 trillion on the war on irak?

  • According to the Chicago Tribune, as of the end of 2008 the US has spent about 694 billion dollars on the war in Iraq. In comparison, if you use inflation adjusted dollars the Vietnam War cost 686 billion, and WWII cost around 4 trillion.

    According to CNN:

Some experts had projected that the Iraq war would cost 1.6 trillion by 2009, but those were worst case scenarios. If you look far enough into the future, such as 2017, some experts are projecting a cost of about 3.5 trillion dollars.

  • great video..

ever seen a $2 US note..? I was passed one in of all places Vietnam from a bank and never knew the $2 notes were a little special..thats because I am not American..!

I know now, hope you do as well.

  • I have not received a 2 dollar bill in quite awhile, but they were pretty common several years ago. Even here in the US, some people are not aware of them

According to the US Department of the Treasury, As of April 30, 2007 there were $1,549,052,714 worth of $2 bills in circulation worldwide.

I used to save them when I came across them, but eventually I just spent them:)

  • i still cant comprehend that kind of money.

    xoexo

  • It is hard to wrap your mind around when the difference between million and billion is a thousand fold... It's hard to comprehend that 1 billion dollars, is 1000 million dollars. And even harder to get, is that 1 trillion dollars, is 1000 billion dollars. It makes my head hurt just thinking about it.

  • Something I pulled from the web..for those who are metric minded.

$3.3 trillion = 3300 kilometers of $100 dollar bills (enough to stretch easily from New Zealand to Australia or most of the way across the United States.)

Note the above example uses $100 notes.
