Sonic the Hedgehog OmoChao Edition ~ Introduction Video

"Hi, I'm OmoChao! I will help guide you as you play!"

Welcome to my latest ROM hack, Sonic the Hedgehog OmoChao Edition. Be prepared to throw your computer at the wall, or at least be very annoyed. :U

The basic premise is that now, floating behind you through the whole of Sonic 1, is OmoChao, trying to be helpful by telling you about things you do.

However, it just ends up more annoying than not, as it plays a jingle and freezes gameplay as it happens. Even more annoying is that the jingle gets longer each time you play!

This video serves as an introduction to the game, showing you around the Overworld and the basic ideas when in a level.

I'll be uploading more videos in the future of Perfect Rank level run-throughs for those who are stuck. :U Seeing as I tested this hack to the death to find out those par scores, I know the routes very, very well..

As bugging as the jingle is the comments are funny.

It assume you took some inspiration from the Sonic Shorts clip where Omochao goes around pissing everyone off when he keeps saying what they got.

@FlickyF You'd think so, but actually this idea came from long before that. As I said on the article, it was originally without OmoChao at all, just messages. I think I have the mockups somewhere still. But I digress. OmoChao was added more at the sign of how annoying he is/was in Generations. :P

Ok. This is exaggerated to the point of boredom. OmoChao is annoying, but nowhere NEAR that annoying. Love the idea though

@stevoisiak That was the idea, to be as annoying as possible. The challenge is to try and avoid it, though. Of course, that makes it all the more annoying when it happens. :U

I see what you did there with Omochao. Funny video. Favorite part of the video was Knuckles yelling at Sonic to get off of the Master Emerald.
