This is a sermon that was given on the Sunday before the election at a Church of Christ in Northern California. I think the minister makes his points well without getting too political. I am disturbed by the pastor's statement "...I have wrestled with this thing..." and "I'm squeamish..." As a man of God, he should have no reserves about telling the truth openly and boldly. God does not want us to wrestle with truth. Either we accept it and declare it or reject it. I do not believe the apostle Paul was squeamish or wrestled with the idea of telling people God's truth.

It takes great courage to speak God's truth. It isnt easy to get up in front of a multitude and tell people what they need to hear, regardless of how they feel about it. There is never an easy way to point out our own sinfulness but if we dont know about it, we cant recognize whats wrong with us and receive God's salvation; the ten commandments arent simply a set of laws to tell us how we should live but actually meant to show us what is in us; the truth hurts

I am not Jewish and I mean no insult, I am gay and I believe that christians are full of shit, if they listen to their own scripture they would realize that according to the bible the people from israel are the chosen ones, with that said I dont believe in any of it, ............ I believe that there is a God, who loves me, and who created me, but is not the blood thirsty God of the Bible or the Quran,

Hmmm - funny how Americans can't seem to wrap their brains around this one. It's so easy for other Christians. God's people were originally the Jews. We are Jesus' people, and Jesus was for love.
