  • This is from their "about" section: OccupyTucson (.) is the unofficial informational/collaboration resource for the OT movement. This movement sprung out of solidarity for the OWS occurring in New York, and the OccupyTogether movement growing accross the country. The leaders of this movement are the everyday people participating in a movement with many de-centralized goals, with an over-arching theme of protesting government corruption from corporate money and national income disparity.

  • As I mentioned in my call, the majority of people protesting are not against capitalism...they are mainly angry about and opposed to corporatism. The idea that Wall Street (bankers, military industrial complex, big pharma, ect...), by way of lobbying money and former corporate big wigs getting high administration positions inside the government, has replaced the power of "we the people" in OUR government. Yes, some are spouting socialist BS but they are seriously in the minority.
