  • This depends on the thickness it is applied over that area. Basically the resin weighs 1kg for every litre you apply. If you give me the dimensions of your painting ( or artwork ) I can calculate the increase in weight.

  • Hi there Rivthehead...yes, the substrate is canvas and the paints are acrylic.

  • Hi! I have a question, and hopefully you can answer it soon. My painting is 3 feet by 4 feet. Do you know approximately how much resin and hardener I will need? I'm planning to use resin but it is my first time, so I'm quiet clueless. And also what kind of resin should I look for in stores? Thanks for reading!

  • Hi Tracy, thanks for the enquiry.

Your area is approx. 1.1 sq.m. To coat your painting 2-3mm thick will require approx. 1.5 litres of resin.

If you want to look for the resin in art supply stores ( difficult to find ! ) then you should be asking for a low viscosity, UV stabilised, Polymer hybrid ( epoxy ).

Alternatively you can order online from our site ( depending on your location ).

  • Hi PureHeart, the environment where that artist works is dust-proofed, so any specks you see are pinhole air bubbles that can easily be removed by passing warm air over the surface.

If any specks of dust do land in the artwork coating, they should be manually removed before resin gellation, any dimples left behind can be back-filled with a small quantity of mixed resin afterwards.

  • Do you have photos or more detailed info on the application ?

  • What do you do with the dust that lands in your resin on the large artwork??? It appears speckled... which is annoying :/
